PAINTINGS In Vue
Frame & Hang Studio Gallery is pleased to host works by popular local artist, Tom Gaither. Tom began his career with pen and ink. He enjoys drawing, but his favorite medium is watercolor. He describes, "Watercolor does so much on its own that there is a ragged line between artistic control and a natural paint/water flow. It still is fun for me to watch it happen."
He mixes the two mediums to produce art reproductions as fund raisers for dozens of schools, organizations, cities, churches, businesses and more. Tom's work hangs in museums; private, public, and corporate collections nationally.
As a writer, Tom contributed weekly short-humor newspaper articles. His book, Carneal Street Gator," is a collection of stories about Tom and his friends growing up on the banks of the Ohio River in Ludlow, Kentucky.
Tom and Gee are the parents of Carter, Meg, and Hillie and for 44 years have owned the "Tom Gaither's Studio/Gallery" in Ludlow.
