Bring the little ones and your appetite to Bellevue on Saturday, October 15th, 11 - 4 pm for IN VUE's first ever "Monster Mash!"  Encourage the kids to dress in costume and trick-or-treat the businesses along Fairfield Avenue for sweets, trinkets, and fun.    Festive peep boards created by the talented artists of Four Finch Books will be available for photo-ops.  There will be a costume contest at 4:15 pm in front of Avenue Brew and Splendid Things where Bellevue Bucks will be awarded in the categories of scariest, funniest, and most creative. Adults will not be left out of The Mash. To celebrate "National Chili Month,  " all the restaurants along The Avenue have created their own signature chili, serving $3 portions so you can enjoy going from place to place and try them all. The smaller servings will be perfect to satisfy every hungry monster in your family without breaking the bank! Families and their furry friends will celebrate the lifelong contributions of canine caregivers to cancer patients at the American Cancer Society Bark For Life event on October 15, 2016 at Thomas J. Weithorn Memorial Bellevue Beach. The celebration will include doggie games, dress-up contests, music, food, and a dog walk around the park. Before the event, participants ask family and friends to support their efforts financially to help the American Cancer Society save lives from cancer.   "The Bark For Life event is an opportunity for people to celebrate canine companionship and fight back against cancer with their dogs," said Heather Willis, Community Manager . "Every person who has been close to a cancer experience and has a dog in their life is invited."   The event is part of the American Cancer Society in Northern Kentucky. Her unique take on new creations is inspired by her travels and life experiences. As a child, her love for arts and crafts began when she was a young girl watching her grandmother make clothes and quilt. Her curiosity was piqued as she searched through fabric scraps and learned her talent through her grandmother. While working full-time in the business world, she escaped the everyday stress of life through sewing and crafting. The name Gma’s Attic was derived from the nickname her granddaughters gave her, “Gma” and the love that she has for re-creating her must-haves while growing up. Now that she’s retired, she spends her days doing what she loves most, making beautiful pieces inspired by things you would find in grandma’s attic.
